THE GALLERY STUDIO CAFE has had the distinct privilege of hosting dozens of concerts of THE HUMBER JAZZ program of the 2011/2-12 year. These young musicians are the future of not only jazz but music in general in Canada. What a great opportunity to meet them and see them perform original material so early in their careers.
Along with many of the jazz lovers that come to the Gallery we have been blown away by the technical virtuosity, creativity, professionalism and sheer mastery demonstrated by THE HUMBER JAZZ students.
This spring summer, during May, June, July and August THE GALLERY will be hosting the YOUNG MUSICIANS SERIES. We are also celebrating the Humber Jazz Students this Friday May 27 as the school year ends!! We at The Gallery appreciate the participation of the students at the Gallery over the school year. Everyone is welcome however, students or not. We will also be talking more about this summers Young Musicians Series. We will be submitting the lineup to NOW MAGAZINE in the very near future.If you or any good musicians you know, Humber or not, would like to get booked please let us know on Friday.
